SYSTEM SPEAK SYMPOSIUM

SYMPOSIUM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

The participant acknowledges with their dated signature below that they have read, understood, and agreed to

the following:

• Participation in experiential opportunities during the symposium is optional and decided by your own

assessment of your readiness for psychoeducation and experiential learning, moment by moment.

• Such material may unexpectedly activate as of yet insufficiently resolved personal experiences.

• It is expected and necessary that you are responsible for, and able to, self-regulate and manage affective

arousal appropriately and effectively, during and after the training, especially should own difficult

experiences be activated.

• This requirement deserves especially careful consideration, if you are currently experiencing high levels

of traumatic stress.

• It is your responsibility to secure appropriate professional assistance if needed.

• Providing such assistance, beyond support with immediate stabilization, if necessary, is not an extension

of the symposium and cannot be provided by facilitator.

• If you are currently engaged in (trauma-related) therapy and/or psychiatric care, please discuss all

aspects of this training with your provider(s), and secure their support for your participation.

• If you have any medical condition (pregnancy, heart condition, etc.) that may limit your full

participation in the training, please discuss your participation with your physician and the facilitator

before the training.

• Not disclosing such challenges in advance could place you at risk, negatively impact other participants,

and may result in your being asked to leave the training without refund.

• Because these are relational experiences, you will, in fact, be impacted by other participants.

• You are not required to socialize outside symposium more than your pacing and comfort level.

• The facilitator will not participate in socialization outside the symposium sessions.

• These symposium session experiences are not intended to resolve ongoing personal issues, but to

provide valid psychoeducation and experiential learning with the opportunity to appreciate the capacity

for change and healing.
