What is the S3C Foundation?
The S3C Foundation (System Speak Symposia: Safety, Support, and Community) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides education, advocacy, and community resources around complex trauma and dissociation.

What is your mission?
Our mission is to support survivors and professionals by offering trauma-informed education, reducing stigma, amplifying survivor voices, and creating safe spaces for connection and healing.

What does the Foundation do?
We host the System Speak Podcast, provide continuing education (CE) trainings, organize symposia for peers and professionals with lived experience (separate events), and share survivor-centered resources on trauma, dissociation, and healing.

Who do you serve?
We serve both survivors and professionals, offering resources that are accessible, inclusive, and grounded in dignity, resilience, and liberation. See HERE for our statistics.

About System Speak

What is System Speak?
System Speak is a podcast and peer consultation community project dedicated to education, advocacy, and community support for survivors of complex trauma and dissociation. We share resources through podcasts, courses, symposiums, writing, and community initiatives.

Is System Speak therapy?
No. Neither System Speak nor any S3C events or publishing are therapy, counseling, or a substitute for professional treatment. We are an educational and advocacy resource.

Who is behind System Speak?
System Speak is a project of the S3C Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which was created by survivors and clinicians committed to safe, trauma-informed, liberation-oriented education. The podcast voice of System Speak is Dr. Emma Sunshaw, whom you can read about HERE.

How can I listen to the System Speak podcast?
Episodes are available on major platforms (Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts) and through the System Speak website.

Can I share or use podcast episodes in my own teaching?
Yes, as part of fair use, for personal or educational use, as long as credit is given and content is not altered.

Events & Community

What are the Symposia?
Our Symposia are multi-day peer community OR professional training gathering on trauma and dissociation, integrating academic learning with creative, embodied practices utilizing both left and right brain experiences (“top down” and “bottom up”).

Can survivors attend events, or are they only for professionals?
Both. Some events are designed for professionals (CE eligible), while others are open to survivors and the wider community. Each event page clarifies the audience.

Do you host support groups?
No. We are not a therapeutic group provider.

We do, however, facilitate educational gatherings, mentorship programs, and community-based activities.

Courses & Continuing Education

Does System Speak offer CE credits?
Yes. Through the S3C Foundation, we provide ASWB ACE-approved continuing education for social workers and other professionals, with courses focused on trauma, dissociation, and ethics.

How do I register for a course?
Course registration is available on our website. Each listing includes schedule, fees, and CE information.

Donations & Involvement

How can I support System Speak?
You can support us through tax-deductible donations at s3cfoundation.org/donate, by attending events, or by sharing our resources.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. The S3C Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Can I volunteer?
We sometimes have opportunities for volunteers. Please contact us for more information.

Privacy & Boundaries

Will my information be kept confidential if I register for events or courses?
Yes. We take privacy seriously. Your information is only used for registration and communication related to the event.

Can I email System Speak for personal advice?
We cannot provide personal medical or mental health advice. For safety and boundaries, we do not provide individual counseling by email. You can message the podcast to share reflections on the episodes or ask general questions, with privacy protected, and with the understanding it is not clinical or therapeutic advice.
