Training for Clinicians
Training therapists to do better, so clients can feel better.
S3C Foundation offers live, interactive continuing education for clinicians who work with complex trauma and dissociation. These courses come out of more than two decades of clinical practice, years of teaching within the international trauma and dissociation field, and the lived experience of survivors.
Where Your Registration Goes
S3C Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Training registrations directly support our mission of supporting trauma survivors through education, advocacy, and community, including the System Speak podcast, peer support groups, symposium scholarships, and free educational resources for survivors and the clinicians who walk alongside them. When you register for a training, you receive the service of the training, which means registrations are not tax deductible. Any donations above the registration price are tax deductible.
Meet Your Instructor
Emma Sunshaw, PhD, LCPC, is a psychotherapist in private practice since 2003, specializing in complex trauma, dissociation, religious trauma, adoption trauma, and LGBTQAA2S+ care. She is ISSTD faculty and an ISSTD Fellow, received the ISSTD President's Award of Distinction, and helped build ISSTD's Professional Training Program, which she has administered since 2019. In fall 2025 and 2026, she held a semester clinical honorarium appointment with the Women & Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School. She hosts the System Speak podcast, heard in more than 100 countries, and is the founder and Executive Director of S3C Foundation. Her work has received two ISSTD Media Awards, one for her workbook and one for the podcast. Emma brings lived experience into the room alongside her clinical training, and she teaches the way she wishes she had been taught: honestly, relationally, and centering survivors.
